Routine and structure is essential to every child. Even more so for the children in foster care where stability and encouragement is essential for their growth and healing. FARE's goal is to extend the opportunity to participate in activities that promote those characteristics to all foster, adoptive, and kinship families in the state.
If you have a child or teen currently placed in foster or kinship care or adopted from foster care here in NH, be sure to apply for a grant so they can attend a normalcy activity this summer!
Grants may be used for activities such as dance, martial arts, swim lessons, Drivers Ed., scouting, to help cover a week of summer camp, art lessons, gymnastics, etc...
Grants may only be used to cover registration/tuition for activities or classes. They may NOT be used to purchase items, uniforms or equipment.
Grants will be awarded around May 30, so please do not apply for activities beginning prior to that date.
All grant monies will be paid directly to the vendor/organization - we cannot reimburse for activity costs that have already been paid.
Please note that grants are not awarded on a first come, first served basis. Applications will be reviewed by a committee and awarded based on availability of funds. Some of our donors/sponsors designate their donations to be used for specific activities, so we have factors to consider.
Good luck and thank you again to all of our generous supporters that make these grants possible!
***Please note: once you complete an application, you will receive a "ticket" via email. This is simply acknowledgement of your application. We will contact everyone at the end of the month with more information regarding grants awarded.***
Any questions can be emailed to grants@farenh.
